South Dakota Pork Producers Council Announces Executive Director Vacancy

Sioux Falls, SD - Wednesday, January 7th, 2026 – Glenn Muller, Executive Director of the South Dakota Pork Producers Council has announced his retirement date of June 30th, 2026. In his 15 years of dedicated and distinguished service, Mr. Muller has been an incredible asset and friend to those in the pork industry, as well as agriculture. We wish Glenn all the best as he transitions into his well-earned retirement. We as well as the rest of the agricultural industry extend our heartfelt thanks for all his years of service.

While we are sad to see Glenn go, the South Dakota Pork Producers Council (SDPPC) today announced a leadership vacancy and is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Executive Director. This role serves as the chief administrative officer of the organization, providing strategic leadership, advancing producer priorities, and guiding the council’s mission to support and promote South Dakota’s pork industry.

The Executive Director is responsible for organizational management, industry relations, policy engagement, producer outreach, and the oversight of key programs that strengthen the state’s pork sector. The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership experience, exceptional communication skills, and a deep commitment to serving South Dakota’s pork producers. Salary and compensation will be based on experience.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Providing strategic leadership and operational oversight
  • Managing staff, programs, and organizational resources
  • Representing the industry with state and national partners
  • Leading producer engagement, communications, and outreach
  • Supporting policy and regulatory initiatives that affect producers
